  • Plants With Purpose: Add a Neon Burst to your landscape with this compact dogwood. A medium sized shrub at only 4-5' tall, this bright chartreuse beauty will be sure to brighten up your landscape. Unlike other bright leaved varieties, Neon Burst, retains its color throughout the summer without scorching. The new leaves are bronze tinged and by fall become a rainbow of purple, red, yellow and oranges. In winter, the stems turn a glossy scarlet red, making a statement all season!

  • Description: This new Tatarian dogwood from Bylands Nursery in British Columbia has attractive chartreuse foliage and is a compact selection growing 4-5 tall. It has good sun and heat tolerance, retaining bright leaf color throughout summer. New leaves are tinged with bronze and the stems have a rich red hue early in the season. Fall foliage becomes a rainbow of purple, red, yellow and orange. In winter, the stems turn glossy scarlet red.

  • Description: The Lucky Star Series has vibrant and deep colors, a 3 to 5-day bloom window and maintains a consistent show of color from retail through the end of the season. Lucky Star is been bred to have the fastest follow-up blooming of any Pentas on the market. The plants will not cycle out of color like traditional Pentas.

  • Description: This plant grows larger than the other two and so do the pitchers, allowing for more room to catch larger bugs like flies and anything with wings. These work best grown in a hanging basket and it is ideal to have pure water in the pitchers at all times because the insect will be drawn to that pitcher, fall inside, and then drowned. Leaving the pitcher to digest the bug over time. These too like to be kept wet and require pure water and bright light.  This plant can ultimately be your nature bug zapper!

  • Description: The Coral Knock Out® Rose is a terrific landscape shrub rose that will work well in the Southern U.S. and throughout the Midwest.  It is a new color addition to the Knock Out® Family of roses.  The unique coral color is even stronger in hot, humid climates.  It is a very low maintenance plant that blooms from spring through fall and maintains an upright to rounded habit.  An added ornamental feature is the attractive new foliage growth which as it emerges is colored a brilliant and glossy bronze-red.  It is hardy through zone 5.

Hydrangea Cherry Explosion

  • Plant Botanical Name: Hydrangea macrophylla ‘McKay’ PPAF
  • Plants With Purpose: This Hydrangea was discovered by a grower in USDA zone 4 and is an exceptionally hardy macrophylla selection. It provides excellent landscape performance in climates where many macrophylla struggle to produce flowers after winter temperatures. In our trials in Southeastern PA, Cherry Explosion has died back to the ground in the winter and flushed out again in the spring with an abundant display of deep pink blooms. This trait combined with its tidy habit and attractive, deep green foliage make Cherry Explosion an excellent choice for any landscape.
  • Description: This Hydrangea is a new macrophylla type with large, deep pink lacecap blooms. The dark green foliage offsets the deep pink blooms, making them dramatically stand out whether in a container or in the landscape. It is an extremely hardy new Hydrangea that will work well in a wide range of regions.
