The WESTERN Nursery and Landscape Association is led by a dedicated, hard-working Board of Directors, featuring progressive and innovative business owners representing both wholesale and retail companies throughout the WESTERN region of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
President, Nancy Blecha
Nancy Blecha was president and general manager of Blecha Imports, Inc., a regional distributor of lawn and garden pottery, based in North Kansas City, Mo. After 20 years with Blecha, she served as director of marketing for a manufacturer and national distributor of red clay and glazed pottery.
Nancy graduated with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Kansas State University. After completing college, Nancy was a regional specialist for the University of Missouri Extension Service before accepting a teaching position at the University of Nebraska. While at Nebraska, she coordinated a field-based training grant combining the resources of her department with those of the Nebraska State Department of Education. Nancy also served as the Nebraska State Director of a program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture.
She has one son, Mitch, who is pursuing a master’s degree in Health Administration.
