WESTERN Nursery and Landscape Association
A group of forward-thinking green-industry leaders decided to get together with other excellent nursery firms west of the Mississippi River during a meeting in 1890, and the WESTERN Nursery and Landscape Association was born. Our mission statement isn't just a motto, but a way of conducting business on a daily basis:
The WESTERN will be the premier, value-oriented trade show and educational event of the winter trade-show season. Building upon a robust 117 years of excellence, attendees to our show will be exposed to the most progressive and influential exhibitors and presenters available in the world. We will ensure take-home information is geared toward enhancing our membership's professionalism and profitability .
The WESTERN Annual Meeting and Trade Show is the largest green-industry show in the Midwest, filling 500 booths with exhibitors from 35 states and Canada, and drawing about 3,000 exhibitors, owners, buyers and other attendees from our five-state region of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma and from coast to coast. The show is known throughout the green industry for being innovative, progressive and fun! Conveniently located in Overland Park, KS (just 20 minutes south of Kansas City and the largest suburban city in the metro area), the show is easily accessible. The WESTERN convention features nationally and internationally renowned speakers, colloquiums, workshops and meetings. There is a wide variety of national certification options and networking events available.
The WESTERN offers a variety of publications through which people can follow the latest news and notes from around the green-industry, including the most comprehensive updates about the annual meeting and trade show: The WESTERN magazine (published three times and featuring 35,000 copies annually), the electronic newsletter (sent to about 5,000 companies a month), Web site and the program book.
