The 2010 Best In Show Awards went to:

Van Wall/John Deere Landscapes constructed an elaborate pavilion at the 2010 WESTERN and won the Best in Show award.  They also sponsored and displayed the giveaway at the 2010 WESTERN: an electric John Deere Gator TE with in-bed sprayer and rear mounted spreader.  The Van Wall Group is comprised of 13 dealer locations in three states; Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska. From John Deere tractors to Honda motorcycles, they put the Van Wall reputation for service and support excellence behind the best brands in the world. Burley Pottery won the Best in Hard Goods award.  They focus on garden pottery and birdbaths.  Burley Clay utilizes several different production methods to produce their stoneware.  From high-tech hydraulic and ram presses to the craftsmanship required in jiggering and casting, their production methods differ significantly but share certain features – an emphasis on quality, efficiency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.  One of the methods they employ today is a rarely found “lost art” form known as jiggering.  This means of production is an old-fashioned, hand-made process they use to create several of their larger items, such as birdbaths, pedestals and planters.  For more information email Carol Bentley at carol.bentleyandbentley@yahoo.com.  (Content from www.burleyclay.com).

Greenleaf Nursery Company won the Best in Green Goods award and is one of North America’s largest wholesale nursery growers, each year producing many millions of container grown plants for retailers, wholesale distribution centers, and landscapers across the U.S. and Canada. Primary products include: one of the industry’s widest selections of broadleaf evergreen and deciduous shrubs; 70-plus varieties of ornamental grasses; a full compliment of shrub roses available twelve months a year; a broad conifer selection derived from Greenleaf-Oklahoma’s original “Predictable Quality” list; annual, perennial, and tropical “color”; an excellent shade and ornamental tree offering, newly expanded to include “boxed specimen sizes.”  For more information email Randy Davis at greenleaf@greenleafnursery.com (Content from www.greenleafnursery.com).
