Students Gather at 2018 Western in Kansas City
Students from colleges and universities in the Midwest will gather at the 2018 Western in Kansas City January 17, 18 & 19.The Western Nursery & Landscape Association established a Student Advisory Committee in 2016 to strengthen the ties between the association, the industry and Midwestern horticulture students. Each committee member serves a 2-year term on the Committee.
The Student Advisory Committee is charged with developing ideas and recommendations on educational programming, networking opportunities and other member benefits that would better serve WNLA's student members now and into the start of their horticulture careers.

Special student events at the 2018 Western include a Student Forum by Keynote speaker Rebecca Lindenmeyr and a Thursday evening reception for students and student sponsors to enjoy refreshments and the views of Kansas City from the 40th floor of the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center.
The 2018 Western will be January 17, 18 & 19 in Kansas City, MO and will focus on celebrating Plants with Purpose! This timely theme will highlight the economic, environmental, and quality of life benefits plants offer. Join us for the trade show, the fashion show of new plants, networking, and a packed-full education program featuring a keynote by Rebecca Lindenmeyr, a design workshop and keynote with Rick Darke, learning centers, roundtable discussions, Western University, Grow Native education sessions, and a new Demonstration Center.
