Emerging Leaders Gather at 2018 Western in Kansas City

Young professionals in the green industry will gather at the 2018 Western in Kansas City January 17, 18 & 19.

Emerging Leaders in the industry who are 35 and under are invited to a morning of discussion and networking at the 2018 Western.  Jamie Berry, University of Missouri - Kansas City, will facilitate an interactive discussion on some of the challenges and opportunities facing young professionals in the industry.  This is a great opportunity to make new connections and meet young professionals from throughout the Midwest!
In addition a NEW Micro Mentoring Lunch will provide young professionals an excellent opportunity to connect with successful leaders who have made an impact on the horticulture industry.  Young leaders will be able to discuss the industry, career development, the future of horticulture, and build their network.  Tables will be assigned and will have 2 young professionals meeting with each industry leader. Lunch tickets are $20 and limited to 20 young professionals.

Thanks to these industry leaders who are volunteering to mentor: Ball Seed generously supports WNLA's year-round Emerging Leaders.

The 2018 Western will be January 17, 18 & 19 in Kansas City, MO and will focus on celebrating Plants with Purpose!  This timely theme will highlight the economic, environmental, and quality of life benefits plants offer.  Join us for the trade show, the fashion show of new plants, networking, and a packed-full education program featuring a keynote by Rebecca Lindenmeyr, a design workshop and keynote with Rick Darke, learning centers, roundtable discussions, Western University, Grow Native education sessions, and a new Demonstration Center.  Details at wnla.org.
