Sustainability
During his presentation “Greening and the Green Industry” at the 2008 WESTERN Annual Meeting and Trade Show, Bob Dolibois, Executive Vice President of the American Nursery and Landscape Association, said sustainability is about continuing many of the things we’re currently doing as an industry, discontinuing other things and doing some things we do now but doing them differently. He also said the two major initiatives affecting the green industry are the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SSI) and the drafting of an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard on Sustainable Agriculture.
