Designing a Neighborhood-Friendly Landscape

How do you approach creating a highly-visible landscape that's full of "wild" native plants? What strategies can you use to make it visually appealing and cohesive to the neighbors, yet full of wildlife habitat and ecologically connected to the natural world around it? Learn from my experience getting a notice from county weed control.

He is the author of A New Garden Ethic: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future, and for over six years has written an award-winning column for Houzz.com.
